Accompanist Bio

Born in Toronto, Canada, Karen Lam began piano lessons with her mother, Connie Siu-Ha Lam, at the age of 4. Upon completion of her Grade 10 piano, she studied with prominent composer and conductor, Mr. An-Lun Huang. At the age of 15, she received her ARCT diploma in piano performance. Karen is a graduate of the University of Toronto, holding an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in Chemistry at McMaster University while continuing her piano studies with critically acclaimed pianist and chamber musician, Peter Longworth. On the side, she enjoys sharing the beauty and joy of music with others as a soloist, accompanist, piano teacher and chamber musician.
